What is a Soulcat?

A true “Soulcat” is a rare gift. For most of us, it happens only once in a lifetime—a profound, quiet understanding between human and feline that changes you forever. If you have lived this, you know it to be true.

While every cat brings joy, a Soulcat leaves an indelible mark on your soul. At Soulcat Feline Farewells, we believe every cat deserves a peaceful, loving exit when their health begins to decline. Our practice was born out of a desire to recognize this immense bond. The grief and love you feel right now are entirely valid, and they deserve a space of complete understanding.

The gifts our cats give us are completely unique to them. When it is time to say goodbye, giving them a dignified, quiet passing at home is the final act of gratitude we can offer. Every family we meet confirms the importance of this work. We are here to ensure your kitty has a gentle transition, and that your family is sheltered in comfort during your time of grief.

What Does Soulcat offer?

Three principles that guide every visit we make.

01

Feline Exclusive

We are Portland's only feline-exclusive end-of-life practice — every process, every protocol, every gentle touch is designed for cats alone.

02

At Home Sanctuary

Your kitty's favorite blanket, their sunny window, the people they love — we come to the place where your cat feels safest. No carriers, no car rides, no cold examination tables. Just home.

03

Respectful care for you and your feline friend- before and after

From the first contact with us to the follow-up aftercare, we believe it is vitally important to care for you and your cat with sensitivity and compassion.

Your cat deserves a peaceful farewell
